Do I have an UTI?
When it comes to urinary tract infections, you want to make sure the condition is addressed.
A urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection in any part of the urinary system, including the bladder, Aretha, and kidneys. UTI's are more common in females than in males, and they can cause a range of symptoms, including:
Pain or discomfort when urinating. This is one of the most common symptoms of an UTI. It can feel like a burning or stinging sensation when urinating.
Blood in the urine. A UTI can cause small amounts of blood to appear in the urine, giving it a pink or reddish tint.
Frequent urination. A UTI can cause an increased urge to urinate, even if there is little urine to pass.
Urgent need to urinate. The need to urinate may be sudden and urgent.
Cloudy or strong smelling urine. Urine may have a strong odor or appear cloudy, even if the person is drinking adequate water.
Fatigue or fever. In some cases, a UTI can cause fatigue, fever, and other flu-like symptoms.
Pain in lower abdomen or back. Some people may experience pain or discomfort in either area.
